Helen Bennett BRADNER (nee Gregg)

Passed away peacefully in her 103rd year at Fischer Place, 100 Mile House, B.C. on May 3, 2006. She is survived by her four children: Gilbert Bradner, West Vancouver, B.C.; Norman Bradner, Chatham, Ont.; Patricia Erickson, 100 Mile House, B.C.; and Maureen Enns, Cochrane, Alta. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Helen was born in Victoria, B.C. in 1903 and moved to New Westminster at an early age with her mother, two sisters and one brother; all who predeceased her. She met her husband, Francis Gilbert Bradner in 1921 and married the following year. She spent her early married life on farms in the Fraser Valley, before moving to Vancouver, B.C. in the 1930s. In later years, she and her husband lived on a ranch in Clinton, B.C. Helen’s husband predeceased her in 1981. The family wishes to acknowledge the staff at Fischer Place for the conscientious and loving care they provided their mother. A family celebration of their mother’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation could be made in Helen’s honour to the South Cariboo Health Foundation, P.O. Bag 399, 100 Mile House, B.C.
