In loving memory ~
It's with great sadness that our family says goodbye (for now) to a remarkable man, Grant Enns. He was an incredibly kind and generous man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to all.
Grant was born in Brooks, Alberta, to Bill & Lou Enns, along with siblings Wade (Bridget), Donna (Everett) and Deb (Roy). Grant moved frequently as a child but came to settle with his family on a farm at Carrot Creek, Alberta. Grant then met his 1st wife, Connie Enns, and had 5 children Coaldene, Travis (deceased), Dominque, Robin & Tyler. Grant continued to move frequently for employment.
Then his employment brought him to Ainsworth Lumber in 100 Mile House where he settled with his 4 children and later met Tami Huet and created a blended family adding Corey and Amber as his children. Grant fell in love with the Cariboo but needed stability for his 6 children as they entered school, so he made 100 Mile House home.
With his love for travel, he later started to work abroad which took him to Korea, Russia, the USA, Saudi Arabia, and throughout Canada.
In 2007, he met and married Paula and blended their family once again with Hilary and Leah.
He loved watching his 8 children start their own families and adding grandchildren, Shay (Robin & Jesse), Waylon (Coaldene & Jonathan), Leo & Ahri (Corey & Ami), Hannah (Leah & Derek), Luke & Nick (Dominque & Jason), & Griffin & Oliver (Amber & Dakota).
Grant brought joy every day, even when we received his cancer diagnosis, he did not lose faith and continued to find joy in the everyday. His smile and laughter were infectious. He loved to learn new musical instruments and during his fight with cancer, he was teaching himself to play the piano. The piano was a gift from his Uncle Joe and Aunt Rita. He loved his motorcycles and had many bikes over the years.
I know that Heaven will be filled with the wonderful sound of his music and the rumble of his bike.
Rest in Peace.
