On February 14, 2020, Graham Wallace Adams passed away in 100 Mile Hospital at the age of 86 years old. Graham was born in Torrington, Devon, England in 1933. He attended Bideford Grammar School, and upon graduation, he entered the Air Force in England in the Codes and Ciphers Branch during the war, prior to devoting his life to coaching soccer in various parts of the world (Korea, Finland, Mali, Barbados, and Canada to name a few). Graham was a member of FIFA, something he was very proud of. Graham was a storyteller, with a flair for embellishment at times, and had a great love of travel.
He is survived by his oldest son, Gregory Adams (of Ottawa, Ontario), son Kris Adams (of Grande Prairie, Alberta; wife Jillian and granddaughters Wren and Nell), and his sister June Hobbs (of Devon, England, husband Derrick).
Many thanks to Home Care and all the nursing staff of E Wing of the 100 Mile Hospital, who expertly navigated us through several transitions. Also, thanks to the staff of Carefree Manor and the managers of Ridgeview Estates for their care and friendship. And finally, thanks to Grant Rowlands for his enduring friendship and support.
There will be no funeral at Graham's request.
