Oct. 22, 1917 – Aug. 29, 2009

Gladys Buckner was born in Wildwood, Alberta and passed away at Mill Site Lodge on August 29, 2009 at the age of 91. She is survived by her two sons; Payton (Joyce) Buckner of Mission, B.C. and Gerry (Aileen) Buckner of Maple Ridge, B.C., her one daughter Vivian (Ernie) Meeks of Lone Butte, B.C., two sisters; Helen Alexander of Comox, B.C. and Geraldine McMillan of Langley, B.C., also her 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Gladys was predeceased by her son Leo Buckner and her husband Emanuel Buckner. The entire family of Gladys Buckner would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Fischer Place, and the homemaker services of 100 Mile House. A special thanks to the staff at Mill Site Lodge and Dr. Joanne Lapin for the extremely good care she gave our Nana. There will be a memorial service held on September 12, 2009 at 2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 103 Mile House, B.C.
