In Loving Memory ~
Joseph Gildard Chiasson passed away at Royal Inland hospital in Kamloops after struggling with diabetes & cardiovascular disease for a number of years. This past year had been especially difficult for him, health wise.
Gil was born in New Brunswick, raised in Ontario, & found his forever home in B.C.'s Cariboo region where he met his common law wife of 41 years, Lynn Olsen.
Gil loved being outdoors; snowmobiling, hunting & ice fishing. He worked hard all his life, first in a Marathon Ont. pulp mill, then an underground mine at Boss Mountain, B.C. & finally a sawmill in 100 Mile House.
He achieved his dream of a house on Horse Lake, & has many friends & family that will miss his jokes & stories.
Predeceased by his parents, older sister & brother, he is survived by 3 brothers, 1 sister, 7 nephews, 4 nieces, 7 great nephews, 3 great nieces & countless friends, especially Dan & Carol, Scott & Cindy, Ed & June, Betty, Kyle & Josie, Al & Lori, the Theriaults, Mark, Pete, Alton, Randy, Bernie & Darlene, Bing and Mike.
No service by request.
