With great sadness we said goodbye to Lynn.
Lynn was born in Penticton, B.C. to Al and Marna Prediger. At the age of three her father joined the Army and the family moved to Gagetown, N.B. Now an “Army Brat”, Lynn lived in Germany from 1959-1961, where she attended kindergarten. Returning to Canada the family settled in Chilliwack, B.C. where Lynn learned to speak English again. In 1971 Lynn moved to Williams Lake where she graduated from high school and then joined the work force, working in many restaurants in Williams Lake and Quesnel. In 1975 Lynn found work at Tri Pac sawmill in the planer where she had many jobs. It was here she met Ray, and they were married in 1978. Lynn and Ray bought a house on the old Prince George Highway. They enjoyed camping and getting together with friends. Jason was born in 1980, and in 1981 they all moved to Horse Lake where they built their home. In 1983 Shannon was born and Lynn went to work at raising a family, two kids and a husband. In the mid 80’s Lynn returned to restaurant work. The next few years saw her waiting tables for John and Fay Leong at the Range and Marine Restaurant. She then moved on to work for the Owens family at what is now Happy Landing then to TJ’s for Leo and Jennifer Lok. In 1991 Lynn was hired by Overwaitea Foods as a service clerk. After five years she moved into the bakery where she remained until she fell ill in March 2007. In Lynn’s spare time she loved camping, fishing, and cooking for family and friends. She was thrilled when her grandson Carter arrived in 2008, then her granddaughter Lily this past May.
Lynn, you will be dearly missed, and remembered by all who loved you.
A Celebration of Life service was held Friday, July 16, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., at the 100 Mile Baptist Church. Pastor Rick Barker officiated.
