Erika Evelyn Reti

Erika Reti (née Mueller) of 100 Mile House, BC, was born in Chilliwack, BC on July 24, 1964. She passed away suddenly, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, on April 18, 2009 in St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver, BC.

Erika is survived by her husband, Laszlo; children Levente and Maria (Nathan Roddick); her mother, Gertrude Mueller; sisters Toby (Len), Margaret (Bob) Johnson, Rita (Jody) Chadsey; brother Harry (Ruth) and twin brother Eric (Anita); nieces Crystal Peters, Angie Johnson, Kayla Mueller and Jade Chadsey; nephews Sean Peters, Daryl Johnson, Cody Mueller, Brad, Kyle and Luke Mueller, and Maxwell Chadsey; great nieces Andrea Johnson and Lainey and Nyla Peters. She is dearly missed by her soul mate friends, Sherry Bodner, Cheryl Campbell, Deanna Oenema and Monica Thiessen, and by her countless friends and co-workers. Erika was predeceased by her mother-in-law Maria Reti, father Alex Mueller, and father-in-law Leslie Reti.

Erika was a health care worker at Fischer Place, Mill Site Lodge and 100 Mile Hospital, specializing as a recreational therapist and care aide. She was a volunteer fire fighter with the Lone Butte VFD for 10 years, a first responder trainer and CPR instructor with TRU.

She was also a master of culinary delights!

Her life energy, positive attitude, kindness, understanding and courage have touched us all. She has made a positive difference in countless lives. Her unconditional love for her family and friends is unforgettable. Her life was marked by quality over quantity. Keep her legacy alive by making each and every day a special day. We will always love and miss you, Erika.

A Memorial Service for Erika Reti will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009 in Martin Exeter Hall, 100 Mile House, BC. Donations in Erika’s memory to the Palliative Care Unit, St. Paul’s Hospital, 1081 Burrard St., Vancouver, BC, V6Z 1Y6, would be appreciated.
