Elizabeth F. ROBERTSON

Elizabeth F. Robertson, much loved pioneer of Clinton, passed away at age 103, on August 18, 2005 in Ashcroft General Hospital. Born in 1902, Elizabeth moved with her family to Clinton in 1912. This gracious, spunky lady was loved and respected by all, and her gentle, loving spirit will be greatly missed. Elizabeth was a lifelong member of St. John’s United Church where she served as organist/pianist for 60 years. Additional lifetime memberships included O.A.P.O., Order of Royal Purple of Canada, and Royal Canadian Legion where she also served as pianist. Her kindness and active involvement in community activities was greatly appreciated, and in 1984, she was honoured as Clinton Citizen of the Year. Predeceased by her husband, James and two sisters Sylvia and Viola, two brothers Henry and Riley. Elizabeth is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews for whom she was a very special lady. A memorial Service will be held at St. John’s United Church in Clinton on Saturday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch in the Clinton Memorial Hall. In lieu of flowers, Elizabeth requested memorial gifts to St. John’s United Church, Box 76, Clinton, B.C. V0K 1K0.
