It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and friend. Elisabeth has joined her dear husband Hans who predeceased her in 2011.
Elisabeth grew up in Bern, Switzerland, where she met Hans and had their three children. They moved to 70 Mile House to fulfill Hans's dream of operating a buffalo ranch. For over 30 years, the XH Buffalo Ranch has been a South Green Lake landmark.
Elisabeth loved her family, her land, and her buffalos dearly. She was passionate about ensuring that her animals were always handled with respect and compassion.
Elisabeth is survived by her children, Rudy (Green Lake), Fränzi (Kamloops) and Anna Karlen (North Vancouver), their spouses and children. She also leaves behind her two sisters and extended family in Switzerland.
Elisabeth will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
