In loving memory ~
Elaine Bouchard of 100 Mile House, B.C., at the age of 79, suddenly passed away peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was just 5 weeks shy of her 80th birthday. Mom will be cremated at the Valley View Crematorium in Surrey.
A service will be held at a later date in 100 Mile House, B.C. Mom will be interred with her loving husband, Donat in the 100 Mile House Cemetery. Mom is with Dad now and together they will soar the heavens. They will be both missed but never forgotten.
Elaine was born in Whitewood, Saskatchewan. She is the 2nd child of Gordon and Vera Mooney. Mom met Dad on October 10th,1960, in Manitoba, then married soon after on April 22nd,1961, in Maillardville, B.C. Mom and Dad lived in Coquitlam for 30 years before selling their house and settling down in 100 Mile House. Mom raised four loving daughters. She was a loving Mom, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, daughter, sister and friend.
Mom's passion was birds, sturgeon fishing, roses, cats, deer, country music, decorating her yard with gnomes and bird figures, and visiting with family, friends and Cheryl's daycare kids. Mom had several cats throughout the years and leaves behind her black cat Puddin.
Elaine is predeceased by her husband Don Bouchard, her mother Vera McLaughlin, her father Gordon Mooney, stepfather Ray McLaughlin, sister Faye Nikirk, brother-in-law Gordie Nikirk, and Aunt Phyllis Rushton.
Elaine is survived by her four daughters, Patsy (Doug), Janet (George), Dawn (Jeremy), and Cheryl; her four grandchildren David (Lindsay), Michael, Victor (Sarah), and Nicole; and her two great-grandchildren Spencer and Samuel.
Mom's four daughters and family wish to extend their gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Surrey Memorial Hospital for the care given to her in her last few days. A special thanks go out to her favourite nurses Melissa and Bobby for taking great care of Mom. Mom said Bobby is a 10++++.
