On the morning of July 19, 2010, in Penticton, BC, on his 58th wedding anniversary and with his wife Grace by his side, Ed Crocker passed into the presence of Jesus at the age of 81. Ed is lovingly remembered by his wife, Grace; daughters: Brenda (Greg) Larsen), Debbie, Kathy (Manuel) Val; grandchildren: Eli, Amon (Heather), Carmen (Lindsey Kerr) Hazlehurst; brothers: Bill (Grace), Walt (Lorena), Norm Crocker; sisters: Ruth (Art) Neissen, Irma (Gene) Hawkins, Edith (Don) Osborne, and Charlotte (Dan) Friesen. Ed was predeceased by brothers Bob and Richard Crocker. Born in Flowing Well, Saskatchewan, March 2, 1929, Ed spent his childhood years in B.C.’s lower mainland. Fishing and logging were his early passions, but his real love was farming and he moved his family to the Cariboo in the mid 1960s before retiring to Penticton in 1999. A Celebration of Ed’s Life will be held at the Penticton Alliance Church, 197 Brandon Avenue, Penticton, B.C. on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Dan Friesen officiating, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the “BC Cancer Agency, the Okanagan Multiple Myeloma Trial”.
