In Loving Memory ~
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Edward Dumont mourn his passing at the age of 70.
Ed was born in Dawson Creek BC and spent his childhood in the Williams Lake area with his 6 siblings, later settling in 100 Mile House.
Ed completed an electrical apprenticeship with Ainsworth in 1979, and later retired in 2016 from West Fraser (Chasm div.) After 44 years of service.
Ed's happiest times were spent with his children and family, often hunting or fishing. Many wonderful memories were created camping at Green Lake, Mara Lake or Salmon Arm. He could always be found around the fire, strumming one of his guitars and singing along to a classic song.
Ed will be remembered always for his generous spirit, his love for family an unwavering willingness to lend a hand and a fondness for late night grilled cheese, movie popcorn, and pulling a good prank.
The family will be forever grateful to his care team at Royal Inland Hospital where Ed shared his last earthly days peacefully with his children. Edward was predeceased by his parents Edward Sr and Marina (Whitford), brothers Clifford, Leonard, and sister Bonnie.
Ed is survived by children Cora, Steven (Rhea), Laura; Grandchildren Gabriella, Hunter, Damon, Carson; friend Susan; sisters Gwen (George) Middlemass, Lorraine (Don) Lewis, Brother Randall Dumont, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
