On Feb. 29, 2004, at the age of 52, John died accidentally in Alameda, California. Born Dec. 25, 1951 in Victoria, B.C., John grew up in several communities in Manitoba and Ontario. He attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ont., graduating in Engineering (1973) and Medicine (1977). John enjoyed practicing medicine in the rural setting of 100 Mile House, B.C. He enjoyed a variety of activities including skiing, running, sailing and especially travelling, often in the company of his family. He is survived by his dear wife Janet; sons Bob and Murray; brother Leslie (England) and nephew Ross. Predeceased by parents Georgina Iris McGregor and Major John McGregor, (Stittsville, Ont). The funeral will be held at the 100 Mile Baptist Church, Tatton Road, 100 Mile House, B.C. on Wed., March 10 at 2:00 p.m. For those wishing, contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. John was a wonderful husband and father and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
