Doug is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Andrea; his brothers: Steve (Fran), Paul, Greg and David as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces, great-great-nephews and nieces along with countless friends from near and far.
Doug was pre-deceased by his daughters Gianna Noel (1976-1983) and Lia Merri-Jean (1972-1997) as well as his parents Tony and Flo in 1993.
Doug was born in Vancouver B.C. and was raised in Squamish B.C. He died suddenly at his summer cabin at Sheridan Lake.
Doug has lived in 100 Mile House, B.C for 43 years. He worked for PGE/BCR Rail until his retirement in 1999.
Doug was a gentle, quiet man who will be sadly and greatly missed while he is forever remembered by everyone who knew him.
A memorial service to honor Doug will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at the 100 Mile House United Church. Reverend Jenny Carter will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers a donation in Doug’s memory to The Compassionate Friends, National Office or the 100 Mile House United Church Memorial Fund.
