“Big Don” passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on February 7, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife Christina, and his seven step-children: Leah (Jay), Dann (Tanya), Susi (Levi), Angel (Ramone), Joleen, Kenneth, and Amber; his grandchildren: Natalie, Pearl, Destinee, Ivan, Ben, Jasmin, Daniel, and Isabelle. Don is also survived by his older brother Jerry (Sue). He was predeceased by his parents Roy and Helen Wilkinson and his first wife Barbie.
Don gave up his “coast puppy” status when he moved to the Cariboo with Christina in July 2007. He found an inner peace satisfying his servant heart in being able to serve the Lord at The Lake of The Trees Bible Camp as “chief cook and bottle washer”. Don was also a member of Cariboo Christian Life Fellowship where we watched him grow in glory as he walked with the Lord. We know Don is now with the Lord he loves so much. His hugs and cooking skills will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he will be remembered forever in our hearts.
A Celebration of Don’s Promotion to Glory took place at Cariboo Christian Life Fellowship on February 13, 2010. Donations in Don’s memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
