Always Remembered

Always Loved

Don passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28th at Mill Site Lodge. He was born in Cobalt, Ontario and spent his young working years working as a blast-hole diamond driller. Later he worked in sawmills, for Parks Canada, and ended his career with the Ministry of Highways. He is survived by his sister, Wanda MacFarlane, four children: Marsha Blundell (Ed), Dona Wright (Fred), James Hunton (Karen) and Robert Hunton (Anette) as well as nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

We were blessed to have such a humble, gentle, kind and caring dad and grandpa.

The family is grateful for the wonderful care provided to Dad from all the compassionate staff at Carefree Manor, Fischer Place, Mill Site Lodge and 100 Mile Hospital over the past four years. A big thank you also to Dr. Mah for his many years of attending to Dad’s needs. Thank you to 100 Mile Funeral Service for their caring and professionalism.

A memorial service is planned for late June or early July.

Donations can be made to the B.C. Lung Association or a charity of your choice.

A heartfelt thank you to Janice Sanford for being such a wonderful friend and caregiver to Don. You and your boys, Colton and Reichert added so much fun, joy,

and sparkle to my dad’s life.

Love Dona
