It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis Robert Thompson announces his passing on November 19, 2017 at the age of 66 years, after a brief but valiant fight with cancer.
Dennis was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman. Always a gentleman, he was a man who loved and respected all aspects of outdoor life, and was happy to be living out his retirement dream in the Cariboo with his loving wife, Sharon.
He loved to play golf, first at the Surrey Golf Course and more recently at the 108 Mile Golf Club, making many friends at both courses. Dennis was passionate about ice fishing and always ensured that everyone was respectful of the environment they all shared and enjoyed. He loved being outdoors and was rarely alone, often seen with his faithful dog, Mickey, by his side.
Dennis will be forever remembered by his wife, Sharon; and his children, Michael, Tia and Glen (Kelly).
He will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Liam, Avery, Nathan; as well as extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Dennis can be made to the South Cariboo Health Foundation or BC Cancer Foundation.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
