With great sadness the family of Delores Georgina Hustwait (Devlin) announces her passing on February 22, 2021. Del is predeceased by her 4 brothers: Doug (Laura) Devlin, Lloyd (Dorthy) Devlin, Larry (Isobel) Devlin, Ken Devlin, Howie Devlin, and her late husband Alfred Hustwait.
Del is survived by her loving husband John Tutte and three children: Lorraine Martin (Blair), Valerie Hutchinson (Don), Mark Hustwait (Kelly), 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and sister-in-law Eleanor Devlin.
Born in Assiniboine, Saskatchewan. The family moved to Trail, BC in 1935, then to Vancouver and North Vancouver, where she finished school and met Alfred Hustwait. They married and lived in North Vancouver until 1983 when they moved to the Cariboo.
Alfred passed away in 1991. Del met John square dancing and they moved to Horse Lake in 2004 and then to 100 Mile House in 2015. Del was a provincial level curler from the North Shore Winter Club. Her family were original club members. Del liked dancing square, round, and ballroom. She loved all kinds of crafts crosswords, and jigsaw puzzles.
Del volunteered with hospice for 25 years and put her heart there. She did some tai chi and carpet bowling where she enjoyed the activity and people.
