February 24, 1965 - May 30, 2024

In loving memory ~

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved David Levick at his home at Sheridan Lake BC.

David (Buckwheat) was born in Williams Lake February 24, 1965. He grew up at Sheridan Lake, where he loved the outdoor life. He worked for a few years as a heavy duty mechanic in the lower mainland and there he met and married the love of his life, Cheryl Powell. In 1992 he returned to the Cariboo with Cheryl and their children Ariel and Ian to join and eventually own the family business, Levick Enterprises Ltd. He was a gifted mechanic and could make any machine run.

David loved to travel, and he lived for adventure. There were many family trips with Cheryl and the children to Barkerville, California, and the Gorrill/Foss family reunions around western Canada. He and Cheryl spent many happy hours at their lake cabin in the summer and RV'ing in the winter. He was a master "rider" and was usually found on the top of the mountain on a snowmobile, riding his motorcycle, on a lake in a kayak or power boat, or in the desert on an ATV. He played a mean guitar, and any other instrument that was put in front of him.

David is survived by his loving wife Cheryl, children Ariel and Ian (Shania), Mother Joanne Levick, sisters Karen (Richard) Farmer and Barb (Mike) Matfin, brother-in-law Shane (Kerry) Powell, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Walter in 2018.

Memorial service to be held at the Interlakes Hall, June 22 at 2:00 p.m.
