Dave passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2008 at the age of 93 years. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothea, his daughter Marybeth, brothers Lauraine, Charles, Alvin, Max and Ferguson. He will be missed by his daughter Carolyn, granddaughter Denise (Ron) Galts, grandson Todd Flaherty (Gale), great granddaughters Madison Galts and Santana Mitchell. Dave is survived by his brother Lloyd (Florence), sister Evelyn Somers and many nieces and nephews. Dave was devoted to his family and will be remembered as a generous, powerful and fun loving spirit as well as being an entrepreneur, and avid fisherman. The family would like to thank the management and staff of Ocean View Care Home for their excellent care. A Memorial Service was held at 2:00pm on Thursday May 29, 2008 at First United Church, 15385 Semiahmoo, White Rock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
