It is with deepest regret that we announce the passing of Catherine (Cathie) Jones on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Cathie is lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Mom will be dearly missed. Cathie was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, John. She is survived by her sons: Walter (Wanda) from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia; Brian (Karen) from Vernon; Henry (Maggi) from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta; Tom from Coaldale, Alberta; her daughter Sharon (John) from 100 Mile House; grandchildren: Carl, Jackie, Jason, Jeremy, Joni, Kenny, Dallas, Jason, Stephanie, Trista, Marissa, Andrea, Alicia, Mordecia, Rylee, and Mackenzee; and her great grandchildren: Veronica, Vinny, Katy, Jenica, Carter, Jacob, Taylyn, Levi, Harmony, Tanner, Kayla, Owen, and Blair. Prayers were held Friday, July 4, 2008 at St. Judes Catholic Church on Horse Lake Road. A funeral mass was held Saturday, July 5, 2008 at St. Judes Catholic Church. A celebration of Cathie’s life followed the service with a tea at Creekside Seniors Centre.
