Carolynne MayAbrams (nee Rebagliati)

October 6, 1958 - September 9, 2017

It is with heavy hearts and deepest regrets that we announce the sudden passing of the most beautiful, kind loving woman we knew.

She was our mama, our wife, our grandma and our best friend, she was everything to us.

Carol was born in Mission BC, to Theresa Ann and Gordon Rebagliati and raised with her two sisters, Kevie and Sue and her brother Gordon.

Carol's family owned and ran the Mission Bowling Alley for many years. Carol graduated and went to prom at Abbotsford Senior High in 1976, her date was Ron Abrams, who quickly turned into the love of her life.  Ron and Carol were married in August of 1978 and Carol was immediately welcomed into the Abrams Family.

Two years later they began their family. Shayla, Cole and Russ were born and Carol and Ron made the permanent move to Forest Grove to raise their family in a small community.

Over the years, Carol and Ron's family has grown from a family of 5 to a family of 16 with the addition of Chris, Kristy and Miranda and of course, all their grandchildren: Kennedy, Hayley, Payton, Mikayla, Colton, Owen, Kaelin and Austyn.

The grandkids were always excited to hang out at Gramma's house, as she always had the best snacks, biggest hugs and a beautiful yard for the kids to play in.

Carol's most prized possession was her family, there was not one thing that was more important to her.

Carol loved gardening and she always had the most beautiful flowers surrounding her home and accented her plants and flowers with her much loved frog collection. Being an incredibly gifted crafter, Carol could sew, cook, glue, paint or build anything...and she did... her amazing crafts and birdhouses can be seen everywhere in the homes of family and friends. She left her touch everywhere, especially in our hearts.

Carol was always involved in her children's and grandchildren's school events and a dedicated volunteer in many community events for over 25 years.

Carol was also dedicated to keeping the Forest Grove School open and recently helped raise funds for the playground equipment, as well as a volunteer for the Reading Club and CPAC, even when she had no children or grandchildren attending school.

This past year has not been easy for Carol, with the loss of her own mother and sister and recently having some new medical issues herself, she was still worried about and caring for everyone else in her family first. We are so lucky that we were able to spend so much time with her and are happy to share that Carol spent her last years surrounded by her family.

We went on road trips, to concerts, had many family dinners, went camping and she loved sitting around the fire, singing and listening to our favorite music, always with a nice glass of Domaine D'or in her hand.

Her most recent trip was to go have a look at her youngest son's new home, which she thought was "sooooo cozy" and she really loved their wonderful yard.

Carol, Mom, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you did for our family. Together, we had it all.

We feel broken without you and we miss you so much but we pray that you are at peace now, up there with the other angel mamas, relaxing and at ease. We love you forever and ever -  xoxo.

Please join us to celebrate Carols beautiful life on Sept 30th at 2:00 pm at the Forest Grove Community Hall.
