Calvin was born in Lafleche, Saskatchewan, his family moved to BC when Cal was in his teens. He pursued an electrical career where he worked in the mines and forestry throughout BC. In 2001 Calvin and his wife Doris chose the Cariboo as their place to retire. Here he enjoyed the wildlife, hunting, fishing and his hobby of handcrafting fishing rods. He also enjoyed the company of other seniors and a good hand of bridge. Calvin passed away quietly early on October 23 surrounded by those he loved and who loved him dearly. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 59 years, their three children, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Howard who resides in Chilliwack, BC. Calvin’s life was celebrated during a quiet gathering of family and friends and his ashes spread on the 10 acres he came to love. Calvin will be dearly missed.
