March 28, 1930 – June 15, 2016

It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of Bill who peacefully passed away with Pat and family by his side on June 15, 2016 in the 100 Mile District General Hospital. Left with treasured memories of Bill are his wife of 64 years Pat, his daughter Patti-Anne (Doug), son Bill, sister in law Bettie, nieces, nephews and good friends.

Bill was born in Calgary, spent his youth growing up in Kitsilano and his summers on Northern Vancouver Island. Bill married Pat in 1952 residing in North Vancouver until the summer of 1966 when he moved his family to 100 Mile House. He was a businessman and in the mid 60’s opened “Gateway Building Supply” Bill later operated the Shell Service Station where he also ran the Volkswagen Dealership and in the late 70’s decided to build his own building where he opened “Bill Henry Chrysler Ltd.”

In the early 70’s, Bill was deeply involved with the 100 Mile Snowmobile Club & was Race Director for the BC Snowmobile Association. He was a man from the “Old School”, if it was broken and could be fixed he could put it in working condition! Bill truly loved his family and spent his retirement enjoying his beautiful home with his loving wife Pat at South Green Lake. He deeply cared for animals and they showed their appreciation in return.

Bill’s family would like to thank the wonderful team at 100 Mile Hospital, including Dr. Geerts.

In lieu of flowers donations in Bill’s memory to the South Cariboo Health Foundation or the SPCA would be appreciated.
