Bev passed away at home with her devoted husband Joe, and family and friends close by. Bev leaves a legacy of smiles, fun and whole lot of charm. Contributing to so many who were apart of her life, including if you were one of her patients, as she worked the majority of her successful nursing career in Powell River, BC.
For all Bev's family members, you were important to her.... all them brothers! Bev was predeceased by her parents Williams and Selma, and brother Laurence.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Joe. Daughter Rose (Chris), grandson Corbyn. Brother Dick (Nancy), Danny (Barb), Billy (Maureen), sister-in-law Carol Hadden and many, many nieces and nephews.
She always spoke fondly of her many nieces and nephews. Then when the next generation of great nieces and nephews were arriving; she took on many more names and birth dates and spoke often about each and every family member.
Who remembers hearing Bev say, "well why not?""do what you gotta do". This was her way of supporting each of us in our dreams and goals. With Bev's constant encouragement we have all been better off with marching onward. She was very purposeful, and you knew if she encouraged you, that she supported you.
As much as Bev worked, she wound up playing more. Taking many, many trips to 100 Mile House to spend time with her family, and friends. Also, who can forget her happy place on the lake, spending time at their cabin, and being there when it meant the most to her and Joe.
Bev was courageous, always. In all her years she was full of adventure and made so many connections that laster her lifetime while residing in Powell River. Just remember some of these days, sailing, motorcycling, travelling, sports, cards, barbeques, lawn games, family reunions, boating, there is too much to list Cheers Bev, everything was fun with you.
Joe is giving special thanks to Patti G, and his sister Carol for their support when it was needed most. No service by request. Donations can be made to Canadian Liver Foundation, or Canadian Cancer Society.
