March 11, 1939 – June 17, 2011
Barry was born in Vancouver and spent his childhood there. As a young man he traveled extensively to Australia, New Zealand and England. Aside from his time spent abroad Barry’s adult life found him mostly in British Columbia. He spent most of his married life working as a sprinkler fitter throughout B.C.
In 1980 he moved to Bridge Lake with his family.
Barry passed away unexpectedly at his home where he loved to be. He has gone to be with his Lord and we will miss him. Barry leaves behind his loving wife Deidre, his son Shawn (Chandra), their daughter Julia; his second son Spencer (Stacy) and their boys Tyson and Keegan. Barry loved his family. He was a good husband, an excellent father and a patient grandfather.
Barry will be laid to rest at Bridge Lake, the community he chose as his final resting place. There will be a memorial service to honor Barry Allen on Saturday, June 25 at
3:00 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
