February 4, 1952 - September 17, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Guimond (Wolchuk). After a long courageous battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Barb was born in Pine Falls, Manitoba on February 4, 1952. There she fell in love with her soulmate Arthur and were married in 1970. After moving to Port Alberni B.C. in 1972, a year later they settled in 100 Mile House to raise their three children. Barb loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a woman of many talents, crafter, baker, seamstress, gardener, volunteer and awesome cook. Baba's door and fridge were always open to her grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
Forever in our hearts and minds, Barb is survived by her loving husband Art. Her children: Monica Jacobson(Ken), Angela Pelechaty (Darcy) and Justin Guimond (Elizabeth). Her grandchildren: Kayleigh, Halle, Tyler, Samantha and Liam. Her brothers: George Wolchuk (Pat) and Jerry Wolchuk (Janice). On behalf of Barb and her family we would like to give thanks to the staff of 100 Mile House Hospital and Fisher Place for their compassionate care.
