Anne Rutledge

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anne Rutledge, at her home on Upper Houseman Road, on July 18, 2004. Anne was born on October 5, 1932 in Fisher Branch, Manitoba, the second child of Adolph and Polly Bocek. She was predeceased by her loving husband David, her parents and her sister Mary Neighbour. She is survived by her children Jo-Anne (Keith) Doan, Herb (Gayle) Rutledge, David Rutledge and Jeannie Phaneuf and by her grandchildren Brian and Vanessa Rutledge, Melissa, Brendan and Gavin Doan and Alex Phaneuf. She is also survived by her sisters Alice Moorehead and Nellie (George) DeGraeve, by brother Peter (Julie) Bocek and sister-in-law Evelyn (Murray) Walker. Anne embraced life and made friends wherever she went and everyone was special. She was trained as a teacher and loved to learn, test and share her knowledge with others. She will be remembered by her family and friends for the gifts of friendship, food and an ever present smile. The funeral service took place at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church with the Rev. Barbara Liotscos officiating, on July 24, 2004 at 3:00 p.m., interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to 100 Mile & District Hospital. 100 Mile Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements. Thank you to those who attended the service and for the many others for all your love and support through our time of great sadness and loss, it has been greatly appreciated and Mom would be honoured to see such an outpouring of love.
