Sept. 27, 1922 – June 11, 2010

“It is not how long the FLOWER blooms, but how beautifully”

Anne passed away peacefully at home with family by her side.

Born in Volyn O’Blast, Ukraine, at age five she came to Canada where her family settled in Saskatchewan. She met and married Stanley Halcro, August 10, 1943. The forest industry (Dave Ainsworth) brought them to the Cariboo in 1953.

Anne’s passion for sports led her to be an avid curler. 50 years of scorekeeping for local softball teams and travel to ball tournaments. Travel included Reno trips (with friend Pearl and daughter Mildred) - 75th and 85th birthdays with family. Anne enjoyed watching CANUCK hockey games with grandson ALLAN. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing (summer or winter) on Horse Lake, where she lived since 1962. Anne loved being at home, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, being with family, and special visits with friends Pearl Hiebert and Elsa Zeller.

Anne was predeceased by her husband Stanley (October 6, 1975), sisters Helen, Teenie, Mary; sisters–in–law Gladys, Alice “Allie” and Francie; brothers–in–law Alvin, Bobby, Lawrence and Thomas Halcro, Jack Crawford, Alcide Lucier, and Ken Palm.

She will be lovingly missed by her daughter Mildred (Allen) and grandsons Michael (Michelle), Allan, and Kevin, and by many dear nieces and nephews, cousins, and brother–in–law Maurice (Joe) Halcro.

No service at Anne’s request.
