It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Allen Halcro at the age of 54 in Surrey, B.C. on November 13, 2011.
Allen was born in Williams Lake, B.C. on November 22, 1956. He attended 100 Mile Elementary and 100 Mile Junior High School. He spent most of his life in 100 Mile until the loss of his parents and then moved to the Lower Mainland. He enjoyed hockey, baseball, loved to go camping and he loved to garden.
He was predeceased by his parents Lorne and Teenie Halcro.
Allen is survived by his sons Alvin (Sharon), their children Brendan and Aiden, Vernon, B.C.; Aaron, his daughter Madyson, Chetwynd, B.C.; brother Jim (Grace) Castlegar, B.C.; sister Lorraine (Hal) 103 Mile; many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
A Celebration of Life was held in Surrey, B.C. on November 26, 2011.
Another Celebration of Life will be held in 100 Mile. Interment will take place at 100 Mile Cemetery on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Celebration of Life to follow at the Farrier Pub from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
