Did you know your Cariboo Regional District (CRD) property taxes are going up, and want to know why?
The CRD is holding a series of town-hall meetings for property owners to review and provide input on its 2011 budget and five-year financial plan.
There are several reasons for the taxation increase, as well as some potential plans for how to address these problems.
The next town-hall meeting in the South Cariboo is in Area L at the Interlakes Community Hall on Jan. 29, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
The Area G meeting, postponed earlier this month, has now been re-scheduled for Jan. 31, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lac la Hache Community Hall.
Residents are encouraged to bring their ideas and come out for these meetings.
