Short Takes — Bylaw officer’s report

June report from the South Cariboo Bylaw enforcement commissionaire

Bylaw enforcement commissionaire Harold Underhill submitted his monthly report for June to the District of 100 Mile council.

It included follow-up results for an unsightly shed with no siding, which Underhill deemed as meeting bylaw criteria, and two other unsightly premises that did require cleanup and re-inspection.

In addition to some parking infractions, dogs walked off-leash in Centennial Park and watering during restrictions, the commissionaire noted a car with Yukon plates had seemingly been abandoned at the South Cariboo Visitor Centre.

The RCMP determined the car had not been stolen, but after having been parked there for more than four weeks, the car was secured and attempts to contact its owner have continued.
