RCMP still dealing with drinking drivers and break-ins

100 Mile House RCMP responded to 80 calls for service during the past week.

 

Tires slashed

On April 30, several reports were received of tires being slashed on vehicles parked in 100 Mile House.

If people have any information on a possible suspect for this damage they are asked to call the 100 Mile House Detachment at 250-395-2456 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

 

Impaired driver

On April 29, a vehicle stop was initiated after a complaint was received of an impaired driver near 103 Mile.

The vehicle was located and the driver showed signs of consuming liquor. The driver failed a roadside breath test and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days and he was served a 90-day driving prohibition.

 

Shed break-in

On April 29 a report was received that a storage building on Canim Hendrix Lake Road was broken into overnight.

A gas can and some wire cable were stolen.

 

Impaired driving

On April 28, a vehicle was checked driving with no taillights operating near Buffalo Creek.

The driver exhibited signs of impairment and failed a roadside breath test. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days and the driver was served a 90-day driving prohibition.

 

Watercraft thefts

On April 28, a report was received of thefts from several sheds belonging to cabins in the Mahood Lake area.

A canoe and boat have been reported stolen.

 

Costly ride

On April 27, a vehicle stop was initiated after a complaint was received of an impaired driver.

The vehicle was located and the driver admitted to consuming liquor. The driver failed a roadside breath test and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days. He was also served a 90-day driving prohibition.

 

Licence ATVs

The 100 Mile House RCMP would like to remind owners of unlicensed motorcycles and ATVs that they are not allowed to be operated on public roads.

Operators can face a tow bill and fines of $598 for operating without insurance.
