RCMP seeking information on Wutke Road break-in

The 100 Mile RCMP responded to 86 complaints and calls for service during the past week.

 

Impaired driver

On Oct. 2, 100 Mile House RCMP received a report of a possible impaired driver driving a Toyota Tercel heading south of 100 Mile on Highway 97.

The vehicle was located near the 93 Mile Loop Road south on Highway 97. The male driver displayed symptoms consistent with alcohol consumption.

An approved roadside screening device was administered and the result was a fail. The driver met the criteria and he was subsequently issued a 90-day immediate roadside driving prohibition. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

 

Jewelry stolen

On Oct. 1, 100 Mile RCMP received a report of a residential break-and-enter on Wutke Road, south of 100 Mile House.

The B&E was determined to have occurred sometime between Sept. 28 and 30 of Sept. Jewelry and cameras were taken from the residence.

Caught in the net

On Sept. 28, 100 Mile RCMP were conducting a check-stop for impaired drivers on Highway 97 at Canim-Hendrix Lake Road.

A female driver of a Pontiac Grand Prix approached the check-stop. Through investigation, she was determined to be a prohibited driver under the Motor Vehicle Act.

Her vehicle was towed and she was issued an appearance notice for a court date in November.

A male driver operating a black Chevrolet Equinox approached from the south and appeared to try to avoid the check-stop. He was stopped and was determined to be prohibited under both the Motor Vehicle Act and the Criminal Code.

The driver was issued an appearance notice for a court date in November and the vehicle was towed.
