Public input sought for park changes

Bridge Lake Provincial Park Management Plan needs upgrade

Bridge Lake Provincial Park was expanded in April 2013 from 11 hectares to 405 ha and a new management plan needs to be implemented to reflect that change.

Public input is being requested for changes to Bridge Lake Provincial Park Management Plan.

Peter Weilandt, BC Parks regional planner for Cariboo-Thompson region, is holding a public input session, as BC Parks is developing a park management plan for the expanded Bridge Lake Provincial Park.

The meeting will be held at the Interlakes Community Centre on Oct. 7, starting at 7 p.m. to explain the park planning process and to obtain initial public input that will be considered in development of the draft management plan.

Input will be requested on park values (conservation, recreation, cultural), any specific locations that need to be considered, issues and opportunities, objectives for future management of the park, and strategies to help in meeting the objectives.

If you want to provide information, or just learn about the park, attend the meeting.
