Plane crash claims lives of local residents, dog

100 Mile House residents, dog perished in mid-air plane/glider collision

Four people, including Buffalo Creek couple Terry Gale and Rita Turnbull-Gale, and their dog, perished following the mid-air collision of a Cessna 150 and a powered glider over Nairn Falls Provincial Park near Pemberton on June 29.

Wreckage fell onto the campground, which was full for the Canada Day holiday weekend, but there were no injuries on the ground.

The glider was from Pemberton, which is 156 kilometres north of Vancouver.
