I’d like to introduce myself as the new editor of the 100 Mile House Free Press.

Though I am not originally from the Cariboo, I graduated high school at Peter Scene Ogden Secondary School and lived in Lac la Hache for several years.

My wife and I have been looking to move back to offer our children the same Cariboo upbringing we had (we’re expecting our first in March).

You may have heard my voice before as I briefly co-hosted the Rhode Radio Show on Wednesday mornings.

As for my qualifications, I have two journalism degrees and have worked in media outlets from Whitehorse to Halifax.

Most recently, I worked for a marketing company in Ottawa, called Marketing Breakthroughs, where I was part of a team that built websites, print materials and advertising campaigns.

I’m excited to join our team of experienced staff and correspondents.

I look forward to contributing to our community voice and bring you the latest news, community events, entertainment, sports and opinions from across the South Cariboo.

I’d like to invite anyone who has suggestions on how we can improve or anyone who would like to share a story to contact us.
