Mini-excavator recovered in 100 Mile House

100 Mile House RCMP responded to 96 calls for service during the past week. Some highlights are as follows:

No valid license

On June 9, investigators from Cariboo-Chilcotin Traffic Services observed an older GMC Jimmy being involved in several traffic infractions in downtown 100 Mile House.

The vehicle was pulled over on 7th Street.

The driver of the vehicle was identified and was determined to not have a valid Drivers License and was a Vehicle Impound candidate.

The driver was served violation tickets and the vehicle was towed and impounded.

Collision

On June 9, 100 Mile RCMP and Emergency Crews responded to a single vehicle collision on Horse Lake Road near the entrance to the Imperial Ranchettes.

The female driver of a Honda Prelude lost control of the vehicle and it rolled into the ditch. The driver was not injured and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

The investigation into the cause of this collision is continuing.

Excavator recovered

On June 8, 100 Mile RCMP executed a search warrant and recovered a 2009 Komatsu mini-excavator from a residence in the 6000 block of Fawn Creek Road east of 100 Mile House.

The item had been stolen from the Lower Mainland on June 7.

The investigation into this incident is continuing and no arrests have been made at this time.

Single vehicle MVI

On June 6, 100 Mile RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on Horse Lake Road near McNolty Road east of 100 Mile House.

The driver of an older Chevrolet Van lost control of the vehicle which went off the road into the ditch.

The driver received minor injuries and was treated at 100 Mile District General Hospital. Speed and liquor were not believed to be factors in this collision.

Punctured tires

On June 6, 100 Mile RCMP were called about a male puncturing tires near a business on Cedar Avenue in 100 Mile House. The male suspect was positively identified by several witnesses. The male was arrested the following day and released on a number of conditions for a Court Date in June in 100 Mile House.

CRIME STOPPERS TIPS OF THE WEEK

Sometime between May 1 to May 4, unknown culprits broke into the phone service building at Begbie Summit and damaged the door, the fenced compound and stole a first aid kit.
