Work crews demolished Marmot Ridge on April 15. All that remains of the old golf course clubhouse is rubble. The demolition is being undertaken to make way for the construction of Lakeland Veterinary Clinic's new location. Doctor Ross Dickinson, who purchased Marmot Ridge in 2022, originally hoped to repurpose the old building but due to the high-cost renovations would have cost, chose instead to build something new. Dickinson previously told the 100 Mile Free Press he hoped to move into his new clinic by the fall of 2025.
