Man allegedly photographs females in Save-on-Foods

100 Mile House RCMP responded to 70 calls for service during the past week. Some highlights are as follows:

Collision

On June 5, 100 Mile RCMP responded to a report of a motorcycle collision on Abel Lake Road west of 100 Mile House. The driver was being tended to by emergency crews. The driver was taken by ambulance to 100 Mile District General Hospital and was subsequently transferred by air ambulance to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops with life-threatening injuries. The driver’s current medical status is not known at this time. Speed and liquor consumption are believed to be factors in this collision. The investigation is continuing.

Voyeurism

On June 3, 100 Mile RCMP responded to a complaint from Save-On-Foods that a male had been covertly photographing females in the store with a cell phone. The male was detained by store security and he was subsequently arrested for voyeurism. Evidence was seized from the 48-year-old male resident of the 100 Mile House area. He was released from custody with a court appearance date in September in 100 Mile House. The investigation into this offence is continuing. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to call the 100 Mile House RCMP.

Vehicle impounded

On June 1, 100 Mile RCMP received a complaint of a possible impaired driver in a stationary vehicle near the post office boxes in the 108 Mile Ranch. Upon arrival, investigators determined that a male operator had recently had care and control of a pick-up truck. An approved screening device was administered at the scene. Eventually, the 53-year-old male was deemed to be refusing to provide adequate samples. He was issued a 90-day Immediate Roadside Driving Prohibition and his vehicle was towed and impounded for 30 days.

Prohibited driver

On June 1, 100 Mile RCMP conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle which had plates that did not match the registration description on Exeter Road in 100 Mile House. The 59-year-old male driver indicated that he did not possess a valid license. Database queries confirmed that the driver was a prohibited driver. He was issued a Promise to Appear for a court date in September in 100 Mile House. The vehicle was towed and impounded.
