Highway 97 closed beside Lac la Hache due to crash

UPDATE (7:40 p.m.): Highway 97 remains closed due to a vehicle incident with the detour still along Emerald Cres. and Forbes Rd, according to Drive BC with light traffic only

Details on the incident are not expected tonight.

A vehicle could be seen on its roof, according to one witness.

The detour is via Emerald Cres. and Forbes Rd. according to Drive BC, with light traffic only.

ORIGINAL STORY: Highway 97 is closed in both directions due to a vehicle incident between Emerald Cres. Dodge Rd.

Emergency services, including ambulance, police and fire rescue are all on-site, according to witnesses.

There’s no detour available.
