Test results for the 108 water system have come back clear so far, according to Area G director Al Richmond.

“The test results from Friday’s water samples are back from the lab and show no contamination.”

An inspection of the reservoirs showed no evidence of rodents, birds etc. in the reservoirs and the vent screens are intact, according to Richmond.

“Chlorine was added to the reservoirs … Once some contact time is achieved staff will be allowing some increased flow (flushing) through the distribution system to have chlorinated water throughout the system.”

The Cariboo Regional District requires three clean samples before the boil water notice can be lifted, the third of which will be taken on Monday with the results expected back on Wednesday, according to Richmond.
