CALLING ALL KNITTERS
The Clinton Museum is again hosting the World Wide Knit in Public event on Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Last year, the Clinton Knit in Public event was one of 1015 locations in 57 countries. WWKIP DAY is unique, in that it’s the largest knitter-run event in the world. The mission of World Wide Knit in Public is: “Better Living Through Stitching Together.” Knitting together helps make the world a smaller, warmer place; and a lot more fun. This free event is not just for knitters. Quilters, spinners, embroiderers - anyone who does handwork is welcome. Or, just stop in and visit. Canopies will offer protection from the Cariboo sun along with chairs and a few tables. Hot dogs and cake are available between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
CRD BARBEQUE
This week’s CRD Board meeting will be held in 100 Mile as part of “Board on the Road.” All events will be held at Creekside Seniors Activity Centre. On Thursday, June 8 (today) they will have the committee of the whole at 1 p.m. with a community barbeque from 5 to 7. The CCRHD/CRD board meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. on June 9.
