Recall Cariboo-Chilcotin spokesperson Eric Freeston says the group has decided to set a date to start the ball rolling in the recall of Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Donna Barnett.
During their January meeting, he adds, the group decided Feb. 15 is the day they are going to file for recall of the first-term B.C. Liberal MLA.
“Exactly what day after that when we’re able to start collecting signatures is up to Elections BC because we will have to wait for their response. It’s anywhere from three to seven days as far as I know.”
Deka Lake resident Gary Edwards is the proponent, and Freeston says he’ll be the one applying for the go-ahead to start the recall process in the Cariboo-Chilcotin.
