Early voting options available

The federal election is on May 2 and now is a good time to explore early voting opportunities.

If Election Day isn't convenient, people can vote early at advance polls on April 22, 23 or April 25 at Creekside Seniors Activity Centre from noon to 8 p.m.

People can also vote by mail or in person at any local Elections Canada office (Suite C of the Provincial Court Building at 160 Cedar Ave. in 100 Mile House) anytime before May 2.

However, they need to be registered before 6 p.m. on April 26.

More information is available at www.elections.ca. Click on the Voters - Ways to Vote section.

Elections Canada is an independent body set up by Parliament.

People are encouraged to vote in order to help shape the future of the country.
