Driver hits police vehicle after attempted pull over near 103 Mile

‘The male driver, who is known to police, was arrested’

A Cariboo Central Traffic member attempted to stop a vehicle for a motor vehicle infraction near the 103 Mile area earlier today (Jan. 9) but was met with erratic behaviour.

100 Mile House RCMP attended the scene to assist.

“The male driver, who is known to police, was arrested. A search of the vehicle located an unsecured firearm and other weapons as well as drugs. The male is currently in custody and will appear in Williams Lake Provincial Court sometime tomorrow.”

The incident occurred on Highway 97 near the north entrance to the 103 Mile area.

Anyone having information about this incident is asked to call the Central Cariboo Traffic Services in Williams Lake or the 100 Mile House RCMP and quote file 100 Mile file 2019-122 or call Crime Stoppers.
