Do not trespass on private land

Dirt bikers, ATV and snowmobile riders need landowner permission

100 Mile House RCMP have responded to many calls this year from ranchers, frustrated with trespassing motorists on ATVs, dirt bikes and snowmobiles.

As hunting season and winter approaches, the RCMP reminds the public that people pursuing these activities must ask permission from the landowners before entering their property.

Of particular concern to the ranchers is how trespassing motorists damage gates, or leave them open and creating hazards of livestock on the roads, unplanned breeding, and damage to property.

Failure to get permission from a landowner may result in fines under the Trespass Act, and/or the Motor Vehicle Act.
