CRD takes innovative action for beekeeping

Smaller rural lots to see bylaw allowing beehives

A local underground movement for backyard beekeeping is getting closer to becoming legal on smaller residential lots.

The Cariboo Regional District is moving forward with groundbreaking bylaw changes to permit hobby beekeeping (and hens) in residential zones.

Horse Lake residents Roger Meeks and Denese Hark have lobbied for two years to have this change happen.
