The Cariboo Regional District is asking residents for input on its move to allow commercial medicinal grow operations in heavy industrial zones only.
Otherwise, with smaller setbacks in rural residential zones than in heavy industrial zones, residents could find a warehouse growing medicinal marijuana near their house.
Commercial medicinal marijuana growers might also argue it is an agriculture endeavour and pursue a rural location.
