The Cariboo Regional District has rescinded the Water System Advisory put in place for Lac La Hache last week.

The advisory was issued on July 24 amidst concerns the water system may have been contaminated due to ongoing firefighting activities. At-risk residents were advised to boil their water or to drink bottled water until a sample confirmed the system's purity.

All residents may now resume their normal water use following Interior Health giving the CRD the all clear. The CRD thanks residents for their patience during this advisory.
